The greatest books...
Have and will continue to occupy the top two tiers of my bookshelf. The first tier belongs to Ayn Rand and a certain series of graphic novels by a Japanese author. It's a weird dichotomy, but they are both woman warriors in their way. And both changed my life.
The second shelf features Rushdie, Eco, Austin (I'm a girl afterall), Steinbeck, Garcia Marquez, Capote, Waugh, Kingston, Golden, Ellis, Orwell, Milton, Simmons, Montgomery, Carroll, and Alighieri. If you haven't read The Satanic Verses, Pale Fire, The Name of the Rose, The Fountainhead or East of Eden I don't want to know you. The others you can get away with...but they're still good.
